Modelling and control of mechatronic systems with SolidWorks and NI LabVIEW
Fridrichovský, Jan ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Houška, Pavel (advisor)
When designing a Mechatronics system should be the management implemented into the mechanism of technological products. It is therefore necessary to create a connection tool for the management design and tools for the CAD of the management mechanism. The company responded that the need for the issuance of National Instruments toolkit to connect the NI LabVIEW with SolidWorks CAD tool. This link allows the NI LabVIEW environment to control the simulation on the virtual model in the SolidWorks/COSMOS Motion and back to obtain the results of dynamic analysis. The aim of this work is to evaluate the possibility of linking development tools and CAD system and evaluate its use in the design of Mechatronics system.
Trees in the Old Testament Considering the Mythology of the Ancient Near East
Loukotová, Kateřina ; Beneš, Jiří (advisor) ; Vymětalová Hrabáková, Eva (referee)
This work deals with the symbolism of trees in the Old Testament considering the mythology of the ancient Near East, using relevant literature, concordant exploration, and synchronic and diachronic analyses of biblical texts. It aims to present an intersection of the most important aspects of the appearance of trees in the Scripture, both in a literal and figurative sense. Drawing on work with biblical and mythological texts from the ancient Near East, it presents the tree as a comprehensible symbol with strong explanatory power, which constitutes its potential to contain even the most complex messages of the Scripture and of the human condition as such.
Spiritual poetry of Rudolf Jurolek
Junová, Rut ; Kočandrle Bauer, Kateřina (advisor) ; Šmejdová, Barbora (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the spiritual poetry of Rudolf Jurolek from a religionistic- theological perspective. First, it determines the context of the poet's work through the delimitation of the concept of spiritual poetry and the characteristics of its contemporary form. The thesis then contains a detailed literary-religionistic analysis of individual Jurolek's poetry collections (Dobrovoľná samota, Život je možný, Smrekový les, Poľné vety, Posunok, Putovanie Jakuba z Rána, Hierografia) with an increased interest in spiritual themes and motifs. Subsequently, based on the results of the first two steps, the thesis determines mysticism as a suitable interpretative framework for religionistic-theological research. Among the focal points of Jurolek's spiritual search, nature and poetry, the thesis reveals the connection with mysticism, both on a thematic-motivic level through the figures of particular saints (St. Francis of Assisi, St. Hildegard of Bingen, Plotinus) and through individual phases of mysticism (awakening, purification, enlightenment). The thesis also finds a connection with mysticism in the poet's way of writing which, from the point of view of philosophy, recalls the procedures of Husserl's phenomenology. At the same time, the thesis observes where Jurolek comes closer to the...
The Cosmological Education by E. Fink
Dědečková, Eva ; Pelcová, Naděžda (advisor) ; Semrádová, Ilona (referee) ; Nezník, Peter (referee)
This thesis "The Cosmological Education by E. Fink" represents modified and extended text of the publication (2018), which was the result of the grant project GA UK. Through commented translations of the excerpts of Fink's books, parts of his diaries, unpublished notes from his written inheritance, stored in the University archive in Freiburg, this thesis aims to bring new perspective and to provoke discussion about his cosmological philosophy as a possible way of the future social self-development in the nihilistic era. The cosmological philosophy of education shows Fink, the best former student and assistant of the founder of phenomenology, Edmund Husserl, in a quite surprising light - as a radical thinker of Nietzsche's philosophical and educational legacy. Fink knowingly departs from husserlian phenomenology, what is closer described here in the additional chapter dedicated to the problem of technique, science and work. The method of the research intuitively seeks and critically reflects Fink's own way of thinking about the problem of education, which is inseparable from his constant dialogue with the history of philosophy, necessity of the revaluation of the metaphysical bounds and consecutive understanding of a man as ens cosmologicum, what reflects also the structure of the thesis. Soul and Cosmos in Plato's Timaeus
Stránský, Jiří ; Hladký, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Špinka, Štěpán (referee) ; Krása, Ondřej (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to examine the problem of soul in Plato's Timaeus while paying due respect to its close connection with the topics of cosmology and cosmogony. The inquiry proceeds from the highest level of the cosmos itself to the lowest level of the souls of mortal beings. In the first chapter, an important question, whether the cosmos singularly came into being or not is being examined. In this context, two traditional approaches are distinguished and it is argued that a proper answer to this question has to contain some elements of them both. The second chapter examines the nature of Plato's maker of this world, the demiurge. It is argued that he is a primordial deity who should not be identified with any aspect of the created cosmos or the intelligible being and who not only creates the bodily world and its soul but serves as a sort of paradigm for the soul in respect to its capacities as well. The topics of soul and cosmos blend equally in the third chapter which is devoted to the world-soul. It concentrates on three main topics which are relevant also for the souls occupying a lower position in the hierarchy. These are the blending of the soul that explains its basic properties, the structuring of the soul and attributing it a particular motion and finally the problem of cognition...
Communication strategy of NASA during space programs Mercury, Gemini and Apollo in the years 1958 - 1972
Dorňáková, Nikol ; Bednařík, Petr (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
Master's thesis "Communication strategy of NASA during space programs Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space programs in 1958-1972" is a summary of the work of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in the field of external communications. This diploma thesis maps the communication strategy during the first space programs Mercury, Gemini and Apollo in the 50s-70s. of the 20th century. It also puts it in a wider historical, social and media context. It is also devoted to the emergence of NASA, to individual programs and the emergence of space interest in the United States.

Power Spot Market of the European Energy Exchange and Its Influence on the Czech Power Market
Vavřičková, Jana ; Červinka, Michal (advisor) ; Krištoufek, Ladislav (referee)
The main purpose of the thesis is providing a detailed description of the clearing process on power spot market of European Energy Exchange (EEX), in view of the algorithmic methods employed. The thesis encompasses the mathematical formulation of the discrete optimization problem solved in the price determination process while the algorithm searches for such combination of block and hourly orders to be executed that would minimize the social cost associated to the chosen combination of orders. The market and network constraints typical for electricity trading are considered by the algorithm in the price determination process. The first chapter also provides the reader with basic knowledge of the trading on the Prague-based Power Exchange Central Europe. The last chapter contains an empirical analysis of the spot prices of the Czech and German power markets, which uses vector autoregression to test the hypothesis of dependance of the development of Czech spot energy prices on their German counterparts. Key words: EEX, PXE, spot markets, clearing process, COSMOS, discrete optimization, branch- and-bound
